Search Terms
A name or location entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. Perquimans County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own servers.
Messages
Email or contact-form content is retained as needed to answer the sender. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Data
Routine page requests can produce technical details needed for operation, measurement, and security:
- IP address or a similar network identifier
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring page, when supplied
- Date and time stamps
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the pages or keep a feature working. Browser settings can block or delete them. Some functions may behave differently when cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
- Keep the pages available and improve speed.
- Send a search request to the provider that operates the selected search tool.
- Understand which pages are useful.
- Find errors, abuse, and technical problems.
- Display advertising that may be relevant to a visitor’s interests.
Links and Outside Providers
Pages link to the Perquimans County Sheriff’s Office, Albemarle District Jail, VINE, North Carolina courts, NCDAC, federal locators, local news, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves these pages, the other provider’s privacy policy controls its handling of data.
Advertising partners may track activity across different sites on their own systems for interest-based advertising. That tracking is governed by the partner’s terms and notices, not by this policy.

Personal information is not sold by this project. It may be received by:
- Search partners that process submitted queries
- Analytics and measurement services
- Advertising networks and their service providers
- Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Security Limits
Reasonable standard security practices are used, but no internet-connected system is fully secure. The project cannot promise that data will never be exposed, intercepted, or accessed without authorization.
Visitors Under 18
The pages are intended for adults and do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent personal information, a parent or guardian may use the Contacts page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
- Ask what personal information is held.
- Request correction of an inaccurate detail.
- Ask that information be deleted when applicable.
- Opt out of certain processing where an available choice applies.
Requests should identify the information at issue without sending sensitive material through an unsecured message.

This policy may be revised as the pages, tools, or legal requirements change. A revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after posting means the updated practices apply going forward.
